I grew up near the ocean and have lived and visited many places. My drawing began at an early age, around the edges of my homework papers.
Throughout my life I've experienced intense emotions in different places at a particular time. My attraction to ruins, rock formations, caverns and caves has continued for many years. On some of these occasions I've sketched, and at other times I have been still and absorbed the feeling of that place. My intention in my current work is to capture and communicate those feelings to the viewer.

WASH Workshop: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 27 - 29th, 9:30 - 3:30. No one suddenly springs out of bed one day and becomes an artist - either traditional or non-objective! It takes time, work, guidance and inspiration. Mary, a National Watercolor Society member, will discuss design, color, developing interests and habits that result in good paintings. She will give suggestions, direction and guidance. There will be information on how to successfully enter a show, propose a show, approach a gallery and develop a relationship with that gallery, all while continuing to paint and grow. Bring paintings that you have started or begin new ones. Each student will have times to work as well as gain new insights. All levels. The cost is $150.00. Please call Martin at WASH to sign up or go to www.watercolorhouston.org.
